Developing high school students as future entrepreneurs starts with comprehensive instruction to develop student understanding of the difference between being an entrepreneur and an employee, the required knowledge, skills and abilities to be an entrepreneur, and the process and content of and the actual completion of a business plan.

The curriculum which achieves these objectives is designed to culminate in the actual completion of a business plan with all students participating in an annual business plan competition either individually or as a team.

Eligibility is open to all sophomore, junior or senior high school students in the nine-county region: Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Henry, Jay Randolph, Rush, Union and Wayne.
